NOTICE Supply of Messrs Winsor & Newton’s
--= Artists’ Colours during the War
IN view of a report, which has obtained some currency, that Artists’ Colourmen import, not only Pigments,
but also ready-made Paints, ground in Oil and Water Colour Media, from abroad, Messrs. Winsor &
Newton Ltd. desire to emphasise the fact that the whole of their Oil-Colours and Water-Colours are, and
always have been, manufactured at their own works, in London, by British Workmen.
Messrs. Winsor & Newton Ltd, also wish to point out that, owing to the exceptional position occupied
by them as actual manufacturers of so many of the pigments used in the preparation of Artists’ Colours,
they import but few from the Continent, They are therefore able to assure their customers that, except
possibly in the case of two or three preparations made from pigments which are Continental Specialities,
there will be no interruption of supply due to the outbreak of war.

WATER-COLOUR PAPER
BECAUSE it is Hand-made.
BECAUSE Only the Purest Linen
and Cotton Rags are used.
BECAUSE No Bleach or Chemicals
are allowed to enter into the
manufacture.
BECAUSE the beautiful soft White
Colour is obtained from the wonder-
ful purity of the water from the
Artesian Wells at Eynsford Mills.
BECAUSE the paper is never hung, but
dried flat.
BECAUSE Greater Brilliancy of Colour and more permanent Results are obtained
Unbleached Arnold ” than on any other Water-colour Paper.
THIS PAPER CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ALL
THE PRINCIPAL ARTISTS’ COLOURMEN
