Art, full of present and crescent possi-
bilities. The headmaster, Mr. R. A.
Dawson, A.R.C.A.(Lond.), F.S.A.M., is
alive to all the needs, especially in matters
directly connected with Manchester pro-
duction, and both he and his able staff of
assistant masters take a broad-minded and
practical view of the school’s duties to in-
dustry and social betterment, in architec-
ture, craft and all the multifarious points at
which art touches life. At the recent school
exhibition the completeness and thorough-
ness with which work in all branches was
carried out, gave confidence that whatever
can be done by an efficient and effective
authority to further the art of Manchester
is being done with full energy and know-
ledge joined to a right good will. J. W. S.
