The specialty of the works is painting under glaze on the " bisque." The painted porcelain is fired at a
very high temperature, which limits the number of coloursi applicable to a very small one, this
however being considered rather an advantage as to the artistic value of the ware. Many pieces are
" unique," only one piece being made and signed by the artists, and such decorations never duplicated.
