Then water for 'Xcaraana* (washing) Is given from the

Panca-patra into another receptacle in front of the

priest.

Then Ginapati anal eighteen mother goddesses

(everybody) durba (rass). badara (leaf of sour

berry tree) and Aksata (unbroken rice) shall be

offered and Drayer shall be s?one as follows *

"Om Bhu, bhubah, svah*', I am offering durba,

badara, Aksata flower (pusoa), -to Gapapati. So saying

these ingredients shall be offered to Ganaoati and

prayed to him.

"Om ", give me longivity, fame, wealth, and give me

son, grand son and great-grand-son, oh Gananayaka

(the lord of Ganas, the spirits).

H0m, 3hu, Bhubah, Svah", I am offering Durba, bis>ara

and Aksata and pusoa to Gauri. So saying these

ingredients shall be offered to Gauri and orayed to

her.

At the beginning of sacrificial /> rituals alx*ays be

conferring of boon and ausoicious.

"Ora, bhu, bhubah, svah"; I am offering durba,badara,
aksata and puspa to Padraa. So saying these ingredients
shall be offered to her. Then pray her -
