In the oitcher or oot (Kalasa) towards the north-west
shall be out the water which has beon used to wash
seven luraos of earth (Sapta-Mrttikatya).

(The seven lamps of earths are of - )

1. forest (i.e. wil«0 Boar (arariya-sukara) (earth
sticking to its body).

2. Bull (Br=;a) .(earth sticking to the Bull).

3. Earth remove*, by eleohant by its tusk
(Ga3a-e;anta-ksata).

U. *Bt hill (Balmika).

£. Bank of river (Tatinl),
6. Grazing fi&ld of cattle (gostha).
2. Field where a species of paddy called 'sail*
has been *rown (sali ksetra).

With the water mixed with these seven varieties of earth
the ablution (of the deity) is to be «?one.
