It is said (in the scriptures) that the observance
of daily routine duties (Uitya karma) is treated
as performed if *Camya karma (desired ritual)
is performed in the auspicious iay after bathing
in the morning in a river etc. After having the daily
dutias(ritual) ('Fitya karma') the worship of the
ista-d^vfata (desired deity) as a oart of the desired

ritual C^Camy -karaa * anga) is to be performed
with sixteen components of offers (sodasa-uoacara).

Then the Acarya (teacher -i.e. brahroaria who performs
the worshio) shall perform the Xun^ia-sanskara

(purification of the sacrificial pit),'agni-sanskara*
(purification of fire for the sacrifice) and perform
the desired sacrifice (kamya Homa).
Now the 'Acarya* (priest) will sit on the vest-side
of the sacrificial pit, facing the east, and complete
the purification of the seat and five-elements
of creation or body (asana-^udihi, and bhuta-
suddhi) and purification of the offerable water
(Arghya-sanskara). Then on arranging the materials
require* for sacrifice (Homa - rfrabya), the
"Kunda-sanskara" (purification of the sacrificial pit)
shall be done, \fter reciting the 'mula-mantra'
