The Arabic original of Ορ.εαδ(η) is Umaiyat, usually a man’s
name. However, the feminine Οριείαθη occurs on a stele from Umm
ir-Rumman, our no. 184. The name is also known from an in-
scription from Dera; cf. Briinnow, M.N.D.PV. 1899, p. 81 =P.A.
11, p. 259, no. 7. The alteration to Ομενάθζ/ proposed by Clermont-
now seen to be unnecessary. On Σεος see no. 61.
and ω for oj are too common to require illustration.
