Θαιμομαλεχος is a theophorous name, analogous to Θαιμαλλας and Θαψ.οό'ουσαρης;
see nos. 318 and 508. The name means ‘Servant of Malik’; on the name of the god
see Littmann, Entzifferung, p. 77. Both the reading and the interpretation of the
patronymic are doubtful. Δαυσμου, if the reading be correct, suggests Dausam, a
possible by-form of the name Daisam.
