CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND MATERIALS:
Reinforced concrete structure (house of cards/Kartelblattbauweise construction) 573; skeleton frame
cast on site. 574. Frames perpendicular to the building's length, set 3 x 3.5 m apart. The structure made
rigid by binding joists and floors. 575.
External walls: basement - continuous footing and bottom section of the walls of mass concrete;
upper section of brick; reinforced concrete skeleton frame above the ground level with infills of pumice
concrete blocks 576; lintels and breasts of windows of reinforced pumice concrete blocks; walls lined (on
the inside) with corkboards; plastered.
internal walls: pumice concrete blocks; prefabricated bathroom walls (wood and pumice concrete
blocks); corridors - wood panels.
