DESCRIPTION (as of 1929):
It was a large, luxury home, designed for a factory manager or high-ranking magistrate (family of four
with a live-in servant). The architect separated the "day" and 'night" zones by situating them on sepa-
rate floors. The dining room was connected to the large living room that opened towards the garden
through a glazed cylindrical section of the wall. Situating the bathroom between the two bedrooms
and providing a playroom for children with independent access to the terrace were other interesting
solutions. The large terraces on the ground level and rooftop connected the interior with the surround-
ing landscape. The ratio of the building's cubature to its ground floor area was less economical than in
other WUWA houses.
