the hips. The head is ornamented with a simple but
elegant turban of very fine white linen. In some of
the islands, and even in some parts of the continent,
unmarried women braid their hair and ornament it
with natural flowers; others adorn their heads with
the most tasteful and elegant-shaped turbans, formed
of light-coloured muslins.
