A little to the east of this hill is a harbour on
the main-land, which retires with a deep inland re-
cess : from this harbour a small Greek vessel is now
seen issuing, which is rendered more conspicuous by
the dark-red colour of its sails, strongly contrasted
with the gloominess of the shady creek. This is
the only object which is now moving on the Bay of
Salamis.
