Colonnade, a series or continuation of
Columns.

Column, a round pillar used in Archi-
tecture, to adorn or support. Columns
are of five kinds; theTuscan, Doric, Ionic,
Corinthian, and Composite, each of which
has its particular proportion. The term
includes the base and the capital.
