750—Walnut Cabinet
Northern Italian or Southern French, Late Fifteenth Century
Rectangular top with molded and fluted edge, supported by three carved
brackets, apron fitted with two drawers with paneled fronts. Body
as a cupboard with two paneled hinged doors, divided and flanked by
vertical panels. Molded base, rectangular feet.
Note: Remarkably interesting specimen of early carving.
Height, 3 feet 9ys inches; width, 5 feet 3% inches; depth, 1 foot 8 inches
