Nous empruntons à l'excellente publication de M. Edouard Lièvre
"les Arts décoratifs», ce bel exemple de céramique italienne. Il est
difficile, eu effet, de rencontrer une plus grande harmonie dans les
Ions, et plu-, de finesse et de bon goût dans les entrelacs ornes qui
couvrent en entier ce plat de Cliaflagiolo. — On peut, il nous semble,
féliciter M. Lièvre de l'aire figui er de semblables objets d'art dans son
ouvrage. Avec un goût aussi éclairé et une si grande perfection dans le
l' avail, on doit être sûr du succès.

to find a pièce with more liarniony in the lones, and more fineness
and taste in the ornalcd twincs whicb entirely cover Lliis Cliaffagiolo
disli. — lt seems to us one may congratulate M. Lièvre on the in-
troduction of such artistic objects in his work. — With so pure a
taste and so great a perfection in the working, success ought to be
assured
