Un seul de ces objets est émaillé; c'est celui représenté sous
le n° 3732. Les autres, plus ou moins ornés et plus ou moinsbion
traités par l'ouvrier qui les a produits, sont d'un assez beau carac-
tère, mais n'empruntent aucune décoration à l'émaillerie. Il est
intéressant de comparer entre eux les objets d'une même desti-
nation, et de voir combien il serait facile d'en tirer parti de nos
jours dans des objets de même nature.

Fig. 3732 is the only one of thèse articles which is cnamel-
led. The others more or less ornamented or well executedby
the artist who made them, are not without character, but
borrow nothing in their décoration to the enamollers' art. It is
interesting to compare the yariety presented by articles
applied to the same end, and how easy it would be for modem
handicraft to take advantage of the comparison.
