I>ans l une de ces curieuses plaques, on voit deux des signes
du zodiaque : le Sagittaire et le Capricorne. Dans la seconde,
on a figuré le Verseau et le Lion.

Toute cotte décoration est d'un beau caractère et très savante
rI"exécution. Les bordures si dissemblables des deux plaques

Thèse two ivory sculptured tablets represent varions zodia-
cal signs : one the Sagittarius and tlic Capricorn; llio othcr, the
Aquarius and t!ie Lion. The character of the décoration is
very fine and its exécution vory clever. — The borders vvhich
diffur somuch one fiom the other, deserve being particularly
noticed.
