A la base de l'édicule se voit un personnage, subissant un
supplice étrange. La Vierge et saint Jean ont trouvé place aux
pieds du Christ. Les branches de la croix sont terminées par
de gracieux chapiteaux et, au milieu, par un pélican, symbole
de la charité chrétienne.

At the base of this small monument, is represented a figure
suffering a strange torture. ïhe Holy Virgin and S. John stand
ullder the feet of Christ. ïhe arms of the cross are ornamen-
ted witfi gracious capitals, and the central one is crowned by
a pélican, the emblem of Christian Charity.
