La garniture en soie damassée rouge laisse apparaître les
montants ou supports, décorés de feuillages d'acanthe et de
guirlandes de fleurs. Le tout se termine par un dais dont le
sommet montre deux colombes se becquetant ; gracieux symbole
sculpté parfaitement à sa place sur un meuble comme celui-ci.

The red silk damask hangings show amongst their folds the
wooden supports ornamented with acanthus leaves and garlands
of flowers. On the lop of a canopy which crowns the whole,
stand two sculptured doves pecking each other ; gracious sym-
bol most appropriate to such a pièce of furniture.
