La ville de Sienne montre encore un grand nombre d'objets
archéologiques du moyen âge, et les palais ou riches maisons
d'autrefois laissent encore voir de très curieux ferrements en
bronze et en fer forgé, précieux autant par la main-d'œuvre
que par la beauté et la singularité de leur caractère. La fig. 5079

Many curious archaeological antiquities dating from the
mediaeval âge ares yet to be seen in the city of Sienna, and the
palaces and mansions of the epoch présent most interesting
spécimens of bronze and wrought iron works, prccious as well
for their workmanship as for the beauty and quaintness of
their character. Fig. 5079 dates from the xin* century.
