O.l. i. Vellum : 12| x 9|; ft. 152 : Cent. xiii.
Introduction, double columns of 38 lines. Then text in a centre
column, 13 lines to the page, with commentary on both sides.
Capital letters in text in red and blue. On fol. 2, where the
text begins, a square of two inches, containing probably a
large illuminated letter, has been cut out.
At foot of fol. 1 :—Iste liber est de communitte fratrum
minorum Hereford—with old press-mark B, 23
At top of fol. 1, in a very much later hand :—Liber prophete
Esaie glossatus.
On the back of the old binding is : Ysayas.
On fol. 153b (two columns of 58 lines) is a long note, closely
written, in a different (and difficult) hand:—Memorandum
quod liber regum et prophetarum varie tractant de captivitate
xii tribuum.
Collation :-l8—17®,•189 (an extra leaf added), 19®.
Contents :—
Isaias glossatus. The glossa ordinaria on Isaiah, with
Jerome’s prologue Nemo cum prophetas. (P.L. 28, 825).
Glossa ends : ineffabili pena.

Double columns of 46 lines, clearly written throughout.
Capital letters in red and blue, but not ornamented.
On the second flyleaf :—Liber Thome de Bredone, Abbatis
Gloucestrie. (He became Abbot in 1224 and died in 1228).
