somewhat extensive additions, chiefly in the way of dialogues
or speeches, which may be due to the compiler. In the
latter part, dealing with the Birth of Christ, a fourth and
unknown source is used, which is of early complexion. I
have tentively identified it with the Gospel of Peter. I
have transcribed the text for publication.” M.R.J.

capital letters in blue and red. Corrections in the text are
perhaps in the author’s autograph.
