include spiral coils, cross-hatched (1 and 2, the latter a returning spiral) ; and in outline,
closely wound (3), and a minute coil reserved on a solid rectangular figure (4). (Fig. 42.)

FRAGMENTS with white patterns. L. 4^ in., 4 in. From Dimini. Patterns as before

but in white paint on dark red polished clay. No. 1 has hatched bands, no. 2 a spiral coil and
triangular figures in thick outline. The white pigment is not well preserved. (Fig. 43.)
