on which are patterns in dull black paint : horizontal lines, a row of circles with dotted centres,

and waved bands and spiral coils in dull black, and a broad band of red colour on the neck :

LATE CYCLADIC (A 377^A 390).

A 377. FRAGMENT from base of vase. L. 4j in. Pale yellowish clay, decoration of spiral

coils and bands of dull red colour, with a spray and single band of black. ' Red and black
ware': Phylakopi,^. 129.

A 378. HANDLE and part of rim. L. 3^- in. Similar ware; the designs consist of discs,

bands, and spiral coils in red, and a cross-hatched band of black. The handle is a round
loop painted red.

A 379. FRAGMENT. L. 4'in. Pale yellow clay. Horizontal bands and linked spiral coils in

red-brown colour ; springing from the spirals are conventional flora"l sprays. Along the lines
of brown paint are rows of closely-set spots of white paint. (Fig. 82.)
