FRAGMENTS with spiral patterns. L. 2 in. to 4 in. Nos. 1 and 2 are from bowls like
A 637, but the coils are not truly linked to one another; 4 shows a double coil ; 5 and 6 have
coils in which the central eye is a reserved rosette. (Fig. 148.)

fan-shaped figure with reserved interior in which are chevrons ; 2 has buds on long curved
stems ; 3 has a stylised lily as A 701. Nos. 4 and 5 belong to bowls with two rows of large
net-pattern looped round the lip ; 6 is from a bowl with foliate band on shoulder ; 7 is part
of a large vase with diagonal lattice containing curve-hatched figures in brilliant red varnish
on fine yellow slip. (Fig. 148.)
