Johann Herr gained independence. The workshop, in the early forties moved
to Łachwa near Ołyka,24 gradually changed into a smali carpenter’s manufacture
providing furnishing for the Radziwiłłs’ palaces.

24 According to Stefan Mieleszkiewicz (National Museum in Warsaw), the manufacture was active
as late as in the seventeen eighties.
