Below this inscription is a black and white bull
bearing a mummy upon its back, and below this are
four lines of hieroglyphics containing prayers for
sepulchral offerings; as the text is practically the
same as that given on the right side of the pedestal, it
is not repeated here.

On the inside of the cover are painted in outline :—

1. The winged disk with pendent urrei «^>,

emblematic of Ra and Isis and Nephthys.

2. The vulture j^, emblematic of the goddess

Mut, holding in each of its claws shen Q,
emblematic of the circuit of the Sun, and
the feather R, emblematic of Right and
Truth.

3. The winged scarabreus ^Zzffip?, emblematic

of the matter of the dead body of the de-
ceased about to come into a new existence.

4. The vulture of Mut, as described in No. 2.
