202. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 1 foot 31a inches. Discovered at Dali.
Figure standing, with arms hanging by the sides, and legs close together; long
robe, falling to the feet, with himation passing over the left shoulder and under the
right arm; head-dress falling behind the ears. Traces of red color over the himation.
The surface of the figure is much worn.
203. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 1 foot 3| inches. Discovered in the
temple at Golgoi.
Attitude like that of the preceding; execution ruder; long robe, with sleeves reaching
to the elbows; low head-dress. Slight traces of red color on the arms and head-dress.
204. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 1 foot 8 inches. Discovered in the
temple (Golgoi).
Attitude like that of No. 203; with low head-dress, from beneath which three
tresses of hair fall in front on the shoulders, like ribbons. Chiton and himation as in
No. 203. Traces of red color on dress. Feet are wanting. Head reset.
205. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 1 if inches. From the temple (Golgoi).
. Attitude like that of the preceding; wears chiton and himation; the left foot a
little in advance. The hair is arranged in ridges round the head, three long tresses
falling in front on either shoulder. The surface is much worn. The head was found
detached from the body, and replaced.
206. Statuette of calcareous stone (upper part only). Height, 1 foot iH inches.
From the temple (Golgoi).
Upper part of a female figure, broken off at the line of the elbows; one side of
the face slightly damaged, and more worn; wears chiton and himation. Two tresses fall
on either shoulder in front. Head-dress of the conventional type. Faint traces of color
on the garment.
