All of red ware, glazed, not made on a wheel; found at Alambra, or Ayia Paraskeve.

795. Height, 6 inches.

Vase, with nearly globular body ; nearly cylindrical neck, and slightly flaring mouth ;
handle, joining neck midway of its length ; opposite the handle, tapering pipe-spout, curving
slightly upwards. Surface somewhat decayed.

796. Height, 11 )4 inches.

Vase with compressed ovoid body, the edge turned towards the spectator in the plate ;
nearly cylindrical neck, curved outward at top and bottom ; flaring lip, recurved and compressed
at one point, with an open nozzle. Handle with upward projection at top. On the neck,
opposite the handle, and at two places on the body below, in the same vertical line, little pierced
projections, or ears ; likewise two such pierced ears in the line below the handle, and three on
each edge of the compressed body. Decoration of incised lines, in circles and oblique bands on
the neck, and vertical bands and zigzags on the body.

Vase with pear-shaped body ; narrow, cylindrical neck, and wide flaring lips ; handle.
Decorated with incised lines in geometrical patterns, as shown in the plate. Handle broken
off, and reset.

798. Height, 2 inches ; or with handle, 4 inches ; diameter at top, 6y2 inches.

Cup (cyathus) in shape of a spherical segment; handle joined at edge, with slight projection
at its top corners, and decorated with 4 incised lines at top. About lip, 6 slight projections, which,
with the ends of the handles, divide the circumference into 8 equal parts.

799. Height, 3 inches ; diameter at top, 8 inches.

Dish in shape of spherical segment ; on one side a large, round, curved spout with some-
what flaring mouth, and joined to the side of the vessel a little above its middle height. Opposite
