19. Pendant: Female head. Silver. Black. Length 34 inch. Found at Curium.

20. Bar, part of an ornament. Silver. Grey. Length 7/g inch. Found at Curium.
Shaped like two slim hour-glasses joined end to end by a short cylinder.

21. Necklace. Silver. Grey. Central clasp, length 11/2 inches ; width % inch. Sections
with high relief about n/i6X% inch; smaller sections about 9/iex^. Found at Curium.

Consists of twelve pieces. The central clasp is ornamented with two winged sphinxes or
gryphons seated on each side of a "sacred tree," with lotus-shaped bottom and crescent top. At
top and bottom are holes, apparently eyelets. On each side of the central clasp is shown a plate
with a head in high relief. Over the head is a projection reminding of the Egyptian uraeus orna-
mentation. The wig and side-locks are also in a style resembling the Egyptian. On the two
ends are nine smaller plates with heads in lower relief, corroded and indistinct, but strongly re-
sembling lions' faces. Several of the links have intact projections to represent lions' ears.
