The collection contains a great number and variety of these spear-heads, lance-heads,
javelin-points, sword-blades, and the like. Examples of the principal types are shown here and
on other plates. Found at Alambra.
1. Spear-head. Bronze. Green, incrusted with grey. Length 14 inches. Blade 93^x1
inch at widest.
Has a socket for receipt of shaft. Blade has four faces, separated by ridges, two of which
are sharp and pronounced. The collection contains twelve examples made with a socket end.
2. Sword-blade. Bronze. Shades of green.
An example of a series of forty-two specimens which are all constructed on the same plan,
but are of varying sizes. Length 11^ to 21 inches; blades, 8j4xi}4 inches to 18^x2 inches.
The peculiar hook at the lower end of the shank was bent about the short wooden grip.
3. Dagger-blade. Bronze. Shades of green. Length 934 inches. Blade, 534 inches.
Four-edged, those on the sides being distinct, to strengthen blade.
4. Lance-point. Bronze. Green, with light incrustation. Length 14 inches. Blade,

Four-edged; resembles bayonet. Straight solid shank. The collection contains seven
similarly made.
5. Sword-blade. Bronze. Belongs to same series as Nos. 2 and 3.
6. Lance-point. Bronze. Green, with grey spots. Length 1234 inches. Blade, u^xi^s
inches.
Similar to No. 4. End of shank gone.
