fee-houses of Wachter, Schafer and Bolley. There is also
a restauration established at the museum ( principally for
the members of the museum), likewise, a similar estab-
lishment at the castle. Two bathing-houses, where you
can be accommodated with whatever bath you please.
Strangers, wishing to stay qt Heidelberg for some time,
can be accommodated with comfortable private apartments,
and send for their meals to an inn. — Gardens before the
gates, where you can get cold and warm liquors, viands
and fruit, according to their different sites, beginning at
the gate of Mannheim: at Liisclis-, Muller's; before the
upper gate (Karlsthor): Hausacker , with a saloon for
dancing; magereHof, frequented by many parties, in the
hot summerdays; the Lion, at Schlierbach; the Rose , at
Neuenheim; near the bridge, the Waldhorn (Trench
horn); at Seitz’s; the Hirschgasse (Hart-street) , with a
large saloon for dancing; Stiftsmilhle (Collegiate-mill),
at hour’s distance above the bridge etc. etc. (Of di-
