XII. The judges qA Ga Uozzz^.F o/ GAczzz7, ozz ^Aaz'-r ra^zzzvz aacA
azrazzzA are to transmit to the Nizamut Ada^vlut a report containing such
observations as they may have made afzzfZMq ?*Aa azznzzzA regarding the effect
of the present system for administering the criminal laws, in the preven-
tion and punishment of crimes; as well as respecting the state of the
gaols, the treatment and employment of the prisoners, and such other
matters as they may think deserving the notice of the court. Any new
Tffaqzz/a^zon.y, however, which the y'zzzA/a^ qA azyczzz7 may deem advisable,
are to be proposed in the manner and form prescribed by 7?aqzz/a/zuzz AhX.

XIII. The qA UzTazzzz! are already required by Section LVIII.
Regulation IX. 1793, to transmit to the Nizamut Adawlut copies and
English translates of their proceedings on the trial of all prisoners whom
they may sentence to suffer death, or who may, in their opinion, be
deserving of capital punishment, within ten days after the trial is com-
pleted, or as much earlier as from the state of business may be practicable.
They are further directed, in the transmission of trials to the Nizamut
Adawlut, to give a preference, as far as practicable, to those trials on which
the prisoner or prisoners may have been sentenced to capital punishment, or

XIV. The Uozzz'Ts-qA UA'azzzA in the transmission of their proceedings to
the Nizamut Adawlut, are to be guided by such forms and instructions as
they may receive from that court.
* Under Sections 52, 53, and 54, of the Statute 3 & 4 Wm. IV. cap. 85, the duty of
suggesting alterations in the laws devolves upon the Law Commissioners.
