necessary, shall be summoned by the register, on his receiving orders for

ther be competent to Vo oA'ofyW/o, or V any judge of the court to whom
this duty may be delegated by the court at large, to receive any petitions
receivable by the Nizamut Adawlut, and to proceed thereupon as the
Regulations authorize and direct, so that all such petitions be received in
open court, zz7zz/ VA 7zo zfocAzozz or yAzA ozAor A ^zz^oz^ Voroz/pozz,
oVorzoAo V%77 Az Vo /2?'0.s-072co of Arc y'zzA/o^, nor any order which may
be repugnant to a previous sentence or order of the court. Any
one or more of the judges of the Nizamut Adawlut may also take the
depositions of witnesses in open court, instead of causing the same to be
taken by the register, in cases where this mode of examination may be
judged advisable ; and, generally, the judges of the Nizamut Adawlut are
authorized to regulate the mode and order of their own proceedings, as
well as the execution of their process, subject to the rules prescribed by
the Regulations. All process issued from the court shall be signed by the
register, under such instructions as may be prescribed by the court for
his guidance. ^
VI. A diary shall be kept of the proceedings of the Court of Nizamut
Adawlut, but shall not be recorded in English, further than the court may
find convenient and conducive to regularity. The court shall furnish
attested copies and translations of its proceedings, in cases where a refer-
ence may be competent to the Governor-General in Council.

same shall be made by the register or his assistants; or if at any time,
their other official avocations may not admit of their making the requisite
translations, the court is empowered to cause the same to be made by any
other competent person. The register §hall be styled register to the
Court of Nizamut Adawlut.
