[A.D. 1816.

and the operation of Regulations, shall not extend to the tract of land situated near the town

Preamble. 1. WHEREAS it has appeared advisable to appoint an officer for the per-
formance of certain duties connected with the public resources in the tract
of country ordinarily called the Sunderbuns ; the following rules have been
enacted, to be in force from the 1st of May, 1816 ; corresponding with
the 20th Bysack, 1223, Bengal era; the 19th Bysack, 1223, Fussily; the
