late his action, according to rules well understood in the riding
schools. The second horseman is clothed only in the chlamys,
open at the side, and exposing the whole of his person, which,
though rather long limbed, is exceedingly elegant; his seat is
firm and graceful, and beautifully composed. The Thessalian hat
is fastened round his neck, and hangs loose behind his back.
