ple-Bone : It Ariseth partly Tendi-
nous, and partly Flesty from the Upper F xvi«
part of the Os Pectoris (31) and near
half the Clavicle ; (i4)with two (as it
were dislincT: Originations, the firll
Ascending somewhat obliquely out-
wards joyns with the Second , and
marches up more directly, composing
it Round, Thick, Flelhy Body, and
as it passeth over the Upper part of
the Mufculus Levator ScapuU, becomes
Broader again, at its Insertion to the
Back part of the Procerus Mamillary (h)Fi^ vjj^
and the Adjoyning part of the Os Oc*
ciptis , (B) where the Sflenim (above
treated of) is Implanted. (P.) .
Anatomists not taking Notice of >g' lV~
the true Insertion of this Muscle ,
have generally erred in their conje-
dures concerning its Use, supposing,
that if both AcT: , the Head is bended
Forewards, which A&ion, if rightly
considered, cannot be performed by
these Muscles, except the Vertehra of
, the Neck are also inclined Forward
