9. Bronze Tweezers. Pl. XVII. M.S.1096, L.
0.059 m. Intact. One arm has a perforation for
hanging.
10. Bronze Fibula. Pl. XVII. M.S.1101, L. 0.042
m. Spring, pin and catch missing. Hollow cast. The
outer surface is divided into transverse zones which are
alternately plain and filled with fine cross lines, lightly
incised.
11. Bronze Fibula Wound with Gold. Pl. XVII
and Fig. 24. M.S.1105, L. 0.02 m. Spring, catch, and
pin missing. The bronze core is grooved spirally and a
ribbon of pale yellow gold, 0.01m. in width, is pressed
into these grooves.
Fig. 25
12. Bronze Fibula Wound with Gold. Pl. XVII
and Fig. 25. M.S.1106, L. 0.024 m. Spring, catch, and
pin missing. The bronze core is spirally grooved; over
it is wound, not in the grooves but in a direction at right
angles to the line of the pin, a strip of reddish gold slightly
less than a millimeter wide. This strip has a midrib
and its variation of surface together with the undulating
curves of the underlying core which show through the
gold give a richly variegated surface.
13. Similar Fibula.
PL XVII and Fig. 26.
M.S.1107, L. 0.018 m.
Pin broken. Bronze core
grooved and an even nar-
rower gold band with
midrib wound as in the
foregoing.
14. Silver Fibula. Pl. XVII. M.S.1102, L. 0.046
m. Complete. Very thin silver; under surface open.
Lateral angles, flattened at the apex.
15. Fragments of a Similar Silver Fibula. Pl.
XVII. M.S.1103.
16. Bronze Trapezoidal Pendant. Pl. XVII.
M.S.1097, L., including ring, 0.057 m. Complete.
Made from a sheet of bronze folded double and the halves
fastened together through four pairs of opposite perfora-
tions along the base. In the outermost of these are rings
probably for attaching other rings or small pendants;
rings are now missing from the inner perforations;
through one pair of them passes a flat band of bronze
bent tightly together probably to hold fast the two faces
of the pendant. Ornamented on both faces with fine
punched dots. Perhaps the four faience figures Nos. 30
and 31 were suspended from this pendant.
17. Bronze Trapezoidal Pendant. Pl. XVII.
M.S.1100, L., with ring, 0.034 m. Made as the fore-
going but with two sets of perforations at the base, and
punched dots on one side only.
18. Circular Bronze Pendant. Pl. XVII. M.S.
1099, D. 0.028 m. Made from a single sheet of bronze
folded double and the halves joined through three pairs
of matching perforations along the circumference.
Ornamented on both faces with concentric circles of
fine and larger dots.
19. Similar Bronze Pendant. Pl. XVII. M.S.
1098, D. 0.033 m.
20. Two Bronze Hooks and Eyes. Pl. XVII. M.S.
1108, one, L. 0.027 m. One is complete; of the second
only a fragment remains.
21. Fragments of Disk of Gold and Bronze. Pl.
XVII. M.S.1095a, D. 0.023 m. Composed of a disk
