13. Bronze Fibula. PI. XXII. M.S.1061, L. 0.065
m. The bow was broken in antiquity, and neatly
mended with two small rivets. The pin has one small
break. Of the disks once strung on the arch only one, of
amber, remains in place, but it is probable that some of
the perforated amber disks on PL XXI belonged to this
and the succeeding fibulae. A small enlargement of the
bow adjacent to the catch kept the disks clear of the pin.
14. Similar Fibula. PI. XXII, M.S.1062, L. 0.062
m. Intact. Similar enlargement of the bow next to
the catch-plate.
15. Similar Fibula. PI. XXII. M.S.1042, L. 0.03
m., H. 0.015 m. Only two amber beads are preserved.
A bronze ring is strung on the pin probably for attaching
a pendant.
16. Similar Fibula. PL XXII. M.S.1065, L. 0.029
m., FI. 0.009 m.
17. Similar Fibula. PL XXII. M.S.1064, L. 0.029
m., H. 0.009 m.
18. Similar Bronze Fibula with Amber Disk and
Bronze Pendant. Pl. XXII. M.S. 1046a and b, L. of
fibula 0.046 m., H. of pendant 0.04 m., largest D.
0.033 m. There is preserved also part of the bronze ring
from which the pendant was hung. The trapezoidal
hollow pendant is made of a single sheet of bronze orna-
mented with rows of dots, which is doubled over and
held together at the base by rings passed through match-
ing perforations.
19. Similar Bronze Fibula Attached to Large
Bracelet. Pl. XXI. M.S.1041, L. of fibula 0.65 m.,
D. of bracelet 0.106 m. Intact. Surface of the bracelet
worn from use. Hollow. On its upper and lower
faces are rows of hatched triangles. Along the outer
face is a row of circles with central dots.
20. Diminutive Bronze Fibula. Pl. XXII. M.S.
1069, L. 0.012 m. Pin and catch missing.
21. Semicircular Bronze Pendant. PL XXII.
M.S.1044, L. 0.113 m., H. 0.054 m. Made from a single
circular sheet of bronze, folded double and fastened by
rings of bronze wire passed through matching perfora-
tions. Those at the upper corners are larger for suspen-
sion from a necklace; those along the curved margin are
smaller, and there remain, joined to three of them, other
rings, showing the existence of chains for the suspension of
smaller ornaments. On the outer face of the pendant is
repousse decoration, a stag flanked by concentric circles
about central bosses.
22. Bronze Ornament in the Form of a Comb.
Pl. XXII. M.S. 1059, L. 0.048 m., H. 0.041 m. Intact.
About the triangular area above the teeth is engraved on
obverse and reverse a border of hatched triangles and in
the center of the triangle are concentric rectangles with
diagonals.
23. Bronze Chain Pendant. Pl. XXII. M.S.1066,
L. 0.162 m. The chain is double linked and at intervals
there are four links two of which hang free below.
24. Bronze Chain with Pendants. Pl. XXII.
M. S.1048, L. 0.066 m. This probably belongs to the
foregoing, as the links are the same size and the pendants
the same shape as those often suspended from similar
chains.
25. Portions of Chains with Pendants. PL XXII.
M.S. 1069a and 1071. On the evidence of the size and
technique of the links these portions of chains belong
together.
26. Fragments of Chain. Pl. XXII. M.S. 1069b.
Links much smaller than in the other chains.
27. Three Bronze Tubular Ornaments with Ter-
minal Pendants. Pl. XXII. M.S. 1043a, b, and c, L.
0.087 m., 0.081 m., and 0.088 m. respectively. Each
consists of a bronze tube, with central swelling, encircling
incised lines, and a trilobed end with perforations through
which are attached smaller pendants. Neither these
smaller pendants nor the tubes are exactly alike in the
three; in the case of 1043c, the small pendants differ
among themselves in size.
28. Bronze Bead. Pl. XXII. M.S.1073, H. 0.013
m., D. 0.015 m.
29. Bronze Pendant in the Form of Two Animal
Protomes. Pl. XXI. M.S.1038, H. 0.045 m., W. 0.086
m. Intact. A ring for suspension between the two
heads.
30. Fragments of Silver Coils. PL XXII. M.S.
1049 and 783b. Those bearing the latter number were
transferred from Narce 19 M on the evidence of the
record photograph. D. 0.044 m. Two threads of silver
wire are coiled together, their ends separated slightly and
then joined to form loops.
31. Two Silver Rings. PL XXII. M.S.1051, D.
0.02 m., and M.S.795, D. 0.022. The latter was trans-
ferred from Narce 19 M on the evidence of the record
photograph. Broken. About one end is wound silver
wire.
32. Silver Ring with Fragmentary Pendant.
Pl. XXII. M.S.1050, D. 0.017 m. Strung on the ring is
a small silver coil and attached to the coil is a fragment
perhaps from the lid of a tiny silver balsamarium.
33. Fragmentary Bronze Coil. Pl. XXII. M.S.
1072a, D. 0.01 m.
34. Pair of Bronze Handles. Pl. XXI. M.S.
1047, L. 0.198 m. Intact.
