0.561 m. Restored from many small fragments and
mounted on a modern backing. Some of the fragments
with palmette ornaments have been attached to this
backing at a wrong angle. In the center of the shield is a
knob from which radiate eight spokes to a raised circle
which is the inner border of a zone of dots. There are
six of these zones of dots, each between raised bands. Of
the broader zones between them, two are empty, two
filled with a row of palmettes, and one, the outermost,
with a row of encircled marguerites. All this ornament
is repousse.
In the record photograph of this tomb appear four
other bronzes, a spear end, part of a razor knife and two
serpentine fibulae. These bronzes were never catalogued
in Philadelphia, and cannot be located today.
