From Crete; gift of Mrs. T. J. Bowlker, 1909.
Clay red; buff slip inside and out. Straight, slightly flaring walls; small rim.
Decoration painted in brown glaze varying to black; parts of two zones of or-
nament remain, each showing a row of dots below, a high group of three leaves
rising from each fourth dot, and two concentric dotted arcs rising over the
intervening dots.

Clay buff; surface glazed. Low bowl with convex sides and small rim. Deco-
ration painted in red-brown glaze; inside solid red; outside, narrow band on
rim, a row of short wide diagonal strokes, a pattern of reversing spirals with the
outer line bent back, and three lines below.

Clay buff. Small raised foot. Decoration in black glaze; solid black inside;
outside a band around the foot, and above it a wide wavy line with pendent
lines below and a fringe of short vertical lines above, from which rose occasional
bunches of fine foliage.

Repaired; small fragment missing.
Clay pale red; buff slip. Lentoid body with nearly flat top; nearly flat foot;
false neck with small strap handles; spout inserted near top of body. Decoration
painted in black glaze; on the body, horizontal bands; handles and spout sur-
rounded by a wavy line, opposite the spout two double concentric arcs enclosing
curvilinear ornament and supported by a lattice pattern approximately triangu-
lar; between spout and handle parallel wavy lines; spout and top of neck black,
ladder pattern on handles.
