lel wavy lines with concentric arcs in the loops; curvilinear decoration on handles
and false neck.

Clay pale red; buff slip. Flattened globular body; hollowed foot; false neck
with strap handles; round spout inserted near top of body. Decoration painted
in red-brown glaze; above largest diameter a zone of short vertical zigzags, on
the rest of the body horizontal lines of varying width; handles and spout sur-
rounded by a wavy line, opposite the spout two sets of concentric arcs below
this line and intervening spaces filled with parallel lines, by the spout a half wheel
pattern with spokes, repeated three times; bands on spout, neck, and handles.

From Kameiros, Rhodes; purchased from the Everett Fund, 1883.
Clay bright red; buff slip. Bowl with sides vertical below and widely flaring
above; small base ring; narrow horizontal rim; two loop handles horizontally
attached. Decoration in black glaze varying to red-brown, largely rubbed off;
rim black; three horizontal bands inside; outside, a wavy band between the
handles, three horizontal lines below the handles, and two bands near the base.

Clay pale red; warm buff slip, shiny in places. Rounded body with slightly
flaring edge; high stem; spreading foot, hollowed in centre; vertically attached
loop handles. Decoration in red glaze varying to black; on each side of the body,
boukranion between deer heads, and on one side a concentric circle ornament
surrounded by dots next the handle; below them five fine horizontal lines; on
stem and foot encircling bands; handles and edge red.

Repaired; fragments missing.
Clay red; smooth buff slip. Cup with sloping rounded sides, high stem and
large flat foot hollowed in centre underneath; vertically attached loop handles.
Decoration painted in dark brown glaze varying to red-brown; on each side four
erect slender Triton-shell ornaments in fine lines, under each handle a circle of
dots enclosed by concentric circles; at the top of the stem a group of fine en-
circling lines; on the stem and foot encircling bands; handles and edge brown.
