Gift of H. J. Bigelow, 1883.
Clay red; buff slip. Cup with body rounding to a low hollowed foot; flaring
edge; small strap handle; bridge spout at one side. Decoration painted in black
glaze varying to brown; two horizontal lines on edge and inside the rim; on the
body, a wavy horizontal line carelessly drawn between two narrow bands; handle
and foot black.

Clay pale red; smooth buff slip. High ovoid body contracting to slightly
spreading flat foot; large mouth with horizontal rim; three small loop handles
horizontally attached to shoulder. Decoration in black glaze varying to brown;
on the body, horizontal bands of varying width; between the handles, a com-
pressed wavy line (reversing loops); foot, neck, rim and handles in solid color.

Repaired; some fragments missing.
Clay pale red; buff slip. Flat rounded body, small mouth with rim, near
which are three miniature handles. Decoration in red glaze; fine parallel lines
on rim and top of body; short double rows of dots between handles; broad wavy
band above largest diameter; groups of concentric circles on the base.

Clay red; dull buff slip. Flattened globular body, very small bottom; small
mouth with flaring rim; strap handle vertically attached to the body. Decora-
tion in dull black glaze varying to brown; rim brown inside and out; on the
shoulder, running spirals; below, three horizontal bands; handle brown.

Mouth, handle, and parts of body restored.
Clay reddish; light brown slip. Globular body; small hollowed foot; round
spout inserted in upper part of body; high mouth and basket handle restored.
Decoration painted in dark brown; wide band at top of body; on main zone,
spirals each ending in a loop or flourish; below, two bands; spout solid brown.
