trait of the author and 6 fine large cuts (one twice) represen-
ting “The Triumphs”. Contemporary brown calf, ridily blind-tooled, on the

One of the last editions with the “Quattrocento” commentaries of Francesco Filelfo and Ber-
nardo Lapini. Two of the fine cuts are signed by a small column in the left corner. They are all
framed with a small ornamental border.

The First Editions of these interesting editions of Plato with the com-
mentaries of the well-known Spanish scholar Seb. Fox Morzillo (1523—6o).
In a beautiful binding executed for Henri II de Lorraine, due de
Guise (1614—1664). Fine large copies.

title-border, 1 full-page woodcut, 3 large pictures sur-
rounded by woodcut borders, many beautiful woodcut
initials. Contemp. blind-tooled brown calf, 5 metal corners, 2 brass
pieces in the centre, 2 clasps. Frs. 650.—

The full-page woodcut on fol. +6 represents the Crucifixion. The three
large woodcuts at the beginnings of the 3 parts depict: 1. a confirmation (fol.
Ir), 2. the laying of the foundation-stone of a churdi (fol. 105v.), 3. the celebra-
tion of Ash-Wednesday (fol. 176 r.).
At the end a MS. supplement of 10 11. (2 of them blank), written in red
and black.
