In the years 1945-1950 he studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts - painting under Fryderyk
Pautsch, Zbigniew Pronaszko and Jan Swiderski, and stage designing under Karol Frycz. In 1975
he co-founded the Group "Postawy' and in 1995 - the Group of Five, active at the Gallery
"Kossakowka" in Cracow.
He practised painting, drawing and sculpture; he also occupied himself with mosaic, wall-painting
and conservation.

inscription: Every nouj and then burning cloths
come o^f/rom you, like /rom a pitchy splinter;

The composition is devoted to the dramatic death of the
artist's only son. The inscription is a quote from Cyprian
Kamil Norwid (Tyrtej. Prolog, III. (W pamigtniku), 1.
