Wroblin, the Opole Silesia 1897 - Warsaw 1972
Initially (in the years 1919-1921), he studied at the Academy of Arts and Artistic Industry in
Wroclaw under Otto Muller; next (1921-1924), at the Cracow Academy in the studios of Jozef
Mehoffer, Ignacy Pienkowski and Jozef Pankiewicz. In 1924, together with the Parisian Commit-
tee, which he had co-founded, he went to Paris, to study there in the Parisian Branch of the Cra-
covian Academy. He participated in the exhibitions of the Parisian Committee painters at the
Galerie Zak and Galerie Moos in Geneva. In 1931 he returned to Poland and participated in all the
exhibitions of the Parisian Committee, of which he was the main ideologue, voicing his opinions
in the columns of "Glos Plastykow". After World War H he became a professor of the Varsovian
Academy and State College of Plastic Arts in Gdansk.
