Antoni FAEAT SK
Warsaw 1942
In the years 1963-1969 he attended the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (diploma under Aleksander
Kobzdej in 1969). A member of the Group "Atut"; he directed the Gallery "M" in Warsaw; in the
years 1974-1976 and 1986-1987 he held a scholarship from the Fund for the Development of
Plastic Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Art; in the 1980s he participated in an independent
artistic movement; in the period 1992-1996 he was a member of the Council of Culture at the
President of the Republic of Poland. In 1992 he founded the European Academy of Art in War-
saw, of which he is a rector.
He occupies himself with artistic textile, applied graphic art and drawing; his painting is close to
the current of the "new figuration" and the pop-art style; he refers to old painting and old photo-
graphy, introducing - simultaneously - a deformation of shapes slightly caricatural in character.
