Julian JONCZYK SK
Szczekociny near Kielce 1930
In the period 1950-1956 he studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts (diploma under Czeslaw
Rzepinski in 1956). In the years 1960-1961 he had a scholarship in Paris. He co-founded the
Nowa Huta Group and belonged to the Cracow Group II.
He is engaged in easel and monumental painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and per-
formance; after 1960 he became interested in the painting of matter; since 1970 he has arranged
spaces with the help of tin sheets.
