He started his artistic education in Warsaw, in Konrad Krzyzanowski's schooi of painting; from
1922 he was a student of Jozef Pankiewicz's at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts and in 1924 he
went to Paris with a group of students (future Parisian Committee) to continue his studies there (he
attended Fernand Feger's studio). During the war he found himself in England, where he acted as
a professor of the Bath Academy of Art at Corsham over the period 1949-1958. In 1958 he
returned to Poland and took over the post of the painting professor in the State Colleges of Plastic
Arts in Poznan and Sopot.
A painter and stage designer.
