Aleksander RAFAEOWSKI BM
Warsaw 1894 - Warsaw 1980
He studied in the Warsaw Schooi of Fine Arts under Edward Trojanowski in the years 1916-1920,
and under Aieksander Archipenko in Berlin in 1922-1923. He was a member of the groups
"Blok" (1924-1925) and "Praesens" (1926-1928), and a professor of the Varsovian Academy of
Fine Arts.
A painter and graphic artist. At first he painted avant-garde abstractions but with the passing time
he more and more often created figurai compositions.
